Where to begin? I guess just like my personal life in my 20’s, I’ll give you the quick and dirty. I’m in my 30’s, and I’ve lived in Western Massachusetts my entire glorious life. By day I’m a database designer, and by night an artist who’s had work published in a couple of RPG books. I live with my girlfriend of 10 years (she’s a nerd too), and our two furry kids (they’re cats, not Armenian). I’ve been a gamer for as long as I can remember and will continue to be one for as long as humanely possible.
I’m a huge fan of retro video games (I truly believe that the last good console was the Playstation 2) and I collect/hoard them. It’s not that I hate ALL new games, I just find the push to game online to be obnoxious. My favorite game of all time is Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and I’m into any SRPG like Final Fantasy Tactics, Disagea, Tactic Ogre and Phantom Brave.
My one guilty pleasure is that I’m a sucker for all really, really, bad sci fi movies..like the kind so bad you are embarrassed for all of the has-been actors and washed up porn stars starring in them..the kind that makes Sharknado look like Michael Bay directed it. Personal bottom of the dumpster favorites include: “Piranhaconda”, “Sharktopus”, “Swamp Sharks”, and “The Expendables”.
Pet Peeves include people who bash on Noobs, people who use “LOL” too goddamn much, The Learning Channel (how can you call yourself that and have Honey Boo Boo on your channel?!) , fat “experts” on Sportscenter that comment on an athlete not being in shape, Hollywood “rebooting” franchises(aka stealing ideas, aka being unoriginal, aka being untalented), and finally anybody who uses Facebook as a diary (seriously, no one cares about you and we definitely don’t care about what you had to eat.)
In all seriousness, it’s a pleasure to be able to share my thoughts, opinions, reviews, deck lists, videos, etc..with all of you. I can speak for myself and Shawn when I say that we look forward to hearing your feedback on how we are doing. And remember..on this site Noobs are most definitely welcome.
