
Houston appears to have figure out their offense at the midpoint of the season. They put up 52 points against Arizona. The offense, led by quarterback Jim Kelly gained over 600 yards. He threw 4 touchdown passes. Todd Fowler added another 2 rushing touchdowns
Arizona had no answers for Houston after they built a 17-14 lead in the first half. Houston scored the last 10 points of the first half and the first 14 of the second half. Arizona clawed back to within 11, but Houston finished them off with the two Fowler touchdowns.

This led to a near riot in the stadium not quite on the level of Disco Demolition Night, but still scarring to those in attendance.
