Tampa Bay Bandits 24, Washington Federals 27

Dateline: Saturday, March, 1986. The Tampa Bay Bandits stormed out to a 17-0 lead, including two John Reaves touchdowns. Undaunted, the Washington Generals stormed back with 24 straight points of their own. Reaves tossed another touchdown with roughly a minute and a half. That left just enough time on the clock for Washington to march down and kick the winning field goal.

With the wild win, Washington is at 2-2 and in third place in the Atlantic division behind the white hot Boston Breakers and New Jersey Generals. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay sits at 1-3 and searching for answers as only the winless Memphis Showboats keep them out of the South division basement.

Tampa hosts Las Vegas next week and the Generals go to Houston to face off against the Gamblers.
