Jacksonville Bulls 45, Oklahoma Outlaws 24

Dateline: Saturday March 8, 1986. On a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Tulsa Oklahoma, Outlaws fans were treated to an offensive spectacle. Unfortunately, as too often happens for them, that came at the expense of the home team. Jacksonville exploded for 45 points, including 21 in the third quarter and a total of 35 in the second half. Quarterback Ed Luther threw for 4 touchdowns, there of them to Alton Alexis.

New Oklahoma running back (traded from Houston earlier in the week) struggled to find space to run behind the Oklahoma line. He ran for an uncharacteristic 59 yards on 11 rushes and no touchdowns. Quarterback Rick Johnson threw for three touchdowns. However, he also threw 2 costly interceptions.

Oklahoma tries to find some balance next week against San Antonio. The Bulls look to build some momentum at home against the Brass.
