Michigan Panthers 33, New Orleans Brass 26

Dateline: Sunday, March 9, 1986. Michigan came out on top in a back and forth game in the Superdome. The two teams found themselves at 16-12 at halftime and tied 19-19 halfway through the third quarter. Michigan scored two straight touchdowns and looked to have the game in hand.

However, Rusty Hilger tossed a touchdown to pull New Orleans to within a touchdown again. Michigan ran off most of the clock and left the Brass with only seconds on the clock. A Rusty Hilger interception sealed the game and the Michigan win.

Michigan hosts rival Chicago next week. New Orleans travels to Jacksonville for a game against the Bulls.
