
Dateline: Monday, March 10, 1986. On a frigid day in New Jersey, the Express and Generals duked it out in what promises to be a game talked about for years to come. With 4 lead changes, a defensive stop, and a deliberate 11 play drive to run out the clock, those in attendance were treated to one hell of a game.
The much anticipated face off between Herschel Walker and Eric Dickerson did not disappoint. While neither scored a touchdown, both rushed for at least 120 yards. Frank Seurer outdueled his counterpart, Doug Flutie, but Flutie both threw the winning TD and engineered that final drive to ice the game.
New Jersey travels to the west coast to take on Oakland and Los Angeles battles Arizona in a divisional battle in Tempe.
