Dateline: Saturday, July 16, 2025. Tampa Bay and Birmingham played a close defensive game in Alabama. Birmingham led the entire game with Tampa fighting back to within 3 late in the 3rd quarter. But, an interception, fumble, missed field goal, and punt closed out the posessions for the Bandits and Birmingham walked off wit the win.
With the two headed running game of Birmingham kept in check for the game, quarterback Cliff Stoudt helped to keep the offense going just enough to pull off the win. The Stallions defense ruled the day, adding two other interceptions, 3 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles to dominate Tampa’s offense.
Both teams travel next week. Birmingham to Pittsburgh and Tampa to San Antonio.
