Chicago Blitz 28, Washington Federals 19

Dateline: Sunday, March 24, 1986. Chicago took care of business on the road against Washington in a battle between two teams who are trying to find some wins. Chicago quarterback Chuck Long provided all of the scoring with four touchdown passes. The game showed the promise that Chicago saw in Long when they took him to lead their team.

Washington quarterback Hohensee threw two touchdowns of his own. But, the Federals just couldn’t keep up with Long and the Blitz in a scoreless fourth quarter for both teams. Hohensee also threw 3 interceptions in the game, hurting his team’s chances at a win.

Both teams play on the road. Washington faces a massive challenge in Boston while Chicago looks to pick up another win in San Antonio.
