Dateline: Sunday, March 24, 1986. Los Angeles won a wild shootout over New Orleans Sunday evening. The teams combined for almost 1000 yards and 12 touchdowns. LA quarterback Frank Seurer accounted for six of them. Eric Dickerson added a 6 yard run at the end of the 1st quarter.
New Orleans quarterback Rusty Hilger added 3 touchdowns of his own. Jerry Parrish returned a kickoff early in the game to tie it at 7. But, Los Angeles scored 24 unanswered points before the two teams battled back and forth for the remainder of the game.
LA visits Vegas next with New Orleans going to meet a morribund and winless Pittsburgh team.
