Washington Federals 28, Boston Breakers 41

Dateline: Sunday, April 6, 1986. Boston continued on their goal to become the second undefeated team in league history. So far, they’ve faced little reistance in that quest. The main reason is their quarterback Matt Dunigan. Though he threw 3 interceptions in the game, he added another 4 touchdowns to his total. He also ran for 66 yards and a touchdown.

Washington kept the game close into the fourth quarter, trailing by only 3. However, Dunigan led the Breakers to another touchdown shortly after and they never looked back. Running back Buford Jordan added 177 yards rushing to help control the clock.

Boston is on to Birmingham. Washington travels to New Orleans.
