
Dateline: Monday, April 7, 1986. Michigan proved they belong in the best in the league discussion by pulling off a win against the powerful Houston Gamblers. Phenom quarterback Jim Harbaugh threw for three touchdowns on the game and the running backs added two more.
Houston valiantly tried to make a comeback, scoring two touchdowns in the last two minutes of the game to pull within three. Jim Kelly led the charge. However, a second onsides kick went to Michigan and they closed out the win.
Houston tries again versus Oakland next week. Michigan hosts LA in another big Monday night game.
