Dateline: Sunday, April 20, 1986. Jacksonville dominated with defense to defeat Memphis and run their win streak to 5 games. With only 2 field goals on offense, the defense scored two touchdowns on the day, a fumble and an interception return.

In spite of the tough Memphis defense, led by Reggie White, the Showboats again fell. Their run game managed only 45 yards, leaving young quarterback Kent Austin unable to carry the team in spite of a decent effort.

Jacksonville travels to Oakland. Memphis hosts Arizona.
