
Dateline: Sunday, May 4, 1986. Philadelphia dominated New Orleans at home to move to 7-5 and in a strong position for a playoff spot. They gained 590 yards to New Orleans 302. They dominated time of possession 44:33 to 15:27. They outgained them on the ground 188-42. It was just an absolute destruction from start to finish.
A lone bright spot on the day was Rusty Hilger, though even he had an off game compared to some of his other games this season. New Orleans is still struggling to find a run game this year and will be looking to the draft and maybe NFL teams to find their starting back.
New Orleans tries again next week versus Tampa. Philadelphia travels to Michigan on Saturday for a tough test.
