
Dateline: Sunday, May 4, 1986. Birmingham doubled up Oklahoma to go to 9-3 and remain in first in the South division. After spotting the Oulaws 10 points, Bimringham scored two straigh touchdowns to go up 14-10. Oklahoma then scored at the end of the first half to go into the hafl with a 17-14 lead.
Those were the last points Oklahoma would score. Bimringham outscored them 20-0 in the second half to secure the win. Cliff Stoudt threw two touchdowns in the second half and Joe Cribbs ran one in. Okalhoma’s second half drives produced 4 punts, an interception, and a turnover on downs.
The Outlaws travel to Chicago to try to get back on track. Birmingham plays Arizona on Saturday.
