New Orleans Brass 24, Tampa Bay Bandits 55

Dateline: Sunday, May 11, 1986. Tampa Bay found their offense Sunday afternoon against New Orleans. They rushed out to a 28-0 and then 45-10 lead to overpower the Brass. Quarterback John Reaves threw 5 touchdown in the game. He proved to be the major difference in the game and was the game MVP.

New Orleans struggled to find a run game and quarterback Rusty Hilger paid for it. He threw 2 interceptions and was sacked 5 times. The Brass just couldn’t find their footing early and suffered for it over the remainder of the game.

New Orleans has another tough game against Birmingham. Tampa plays fellow playoff hopeful Memphis.
