San Antonio Gunslingers 10, Philadelphia Stars 24

Dateline: Saturday, May 17, 1986. Philadelphia handed San Antonio their 14th loss on the year Saturday afternoon. Philadelphia mustered just enough offense to defeat the Gunslingers and keep pace with New Jersey in the playoff race. Both teams lag far behind undefeated Boston.

In spite of outgaining Philadelphia in nearly every stat, San Antonio lost the game. Quarterback Rick Neuheisel again had a dreadful game, throwing for six interceptions on the day. The turnovers included an opening pick six for Philadelphia.

San Antonio mercifully has a bye next week. Philly hosts Denver.
