Birmingham Stallions 31, Las Vegas Ace 7

Dateline: Sunday, May 18, 1986. Birmingham completely dominated the Ace in Vegas Sunday night to push their record to 12-3 and prohibitive favorites for the South division title and 2nd seed in the playoffs. Quarterback Cliff Stoudt threw 4 touchdowns on the day, 2 to Robin Earl and 2 to Ken Toler.

Vegas stormed out to a 7-0 lead on a quick 32 yard strike by backup quarterback Sean Salisbury. But, the Ace would never score again for the rest of the game. Birmingham sacked the less mobile Salisbury 4 times in the game and dominated in time of possession and total yards.

Birmingham is home against Chicago. Vegas travels to Michigan.
