Oakland Invaders 40, Pittsburgh Maulers 13

Dateline: Monday, May 19, 1986. Oakland absolutely manhandled Pittsburgh at Three Rivers Monday night to close out week 16. They went on runs of 23 and 17 points, allowing Pittsburgh only two field goals and a late touchdown in the game. The win puts Oakland at 6-8 and with an outside shot at a playoff spot.

Pittsburgh, meanwhile, falls to 3-12 on the season. Coach Ellis Rainsburg is one of the coaches on the hot seat for this season. With such a talented running back as Mike Rozier and a young talent at quarterback, the Pittsburgh fans expect better out of the team. Stay tuned to see what his fate ultimately ends up being.
