Dateline: Friday, May 23, 1986. Jacksonville ran all over Arizona Friday night and ran their record to 11-4 on the season. The Bulls gained 250 yards on the ground, led by Craig Turner with 157 yards. Backup quarterback, Jeff van Raaphorst finshed off drives, throwing for three touchdowns in the game.
Young Arizona quarterback Turk Schonefeld fared worse on the night. Jacksonville hounded him into 3 interceptions in the game. Therefore, in spite of Otis Brown’s two touchdowns in the game, Arizona never really stood a chance against the Bulls.
Both teams are on the road next week. Arizona at Denver and Jacksonville against Boston.
