Las Vegas Ace 21, Michigan Panthers 24

Dateline: Sunday, May 24, 1986. Vegas and Michigan treated the fans to an instant classic Sunday evening. Michigan pulled off the victory in the end, but the game went back and forth. After a Taylor run and Hebert pass for touchdown, they led 14-0 and looked in control. Following a Vegas TD, Hebert again threw a touchdown pass to extend the lead to 21-7.

Vegas scored two field goals to pull within 11. Gary Moss returned an interception for a touchdown and Vegas converted the 2 points. After a Michigan punt, Vegas had a chance to drive for the tying field goal or winning touchdown. However, Salisbury, didn’t have the same magic as Cunningham and they fell short.

Vegas plays San Antonio. Michigan is off to Oklahoma.
