Jacksonville Bulls 31, Birmingham Bulls 28

Dateline: Saturday, May 31, 1986. Jacksonville stole a game in Birmingham in overtime to help solidify their playoff position. They won’t catch the Stallions for the lead, but they can get at least one home game in the playoffs.

After Birmingham tied it with no time left and missed the extra point to force overtime, they then missed a field goal in overtime to win it. After two drives that ended in punts, Jacksonville put together the game winning drive.

Jacksonville has another chance to snag a win next week against San Antonio. Birmingham gets to rest for two weeks until their first playoff game.
