Dateline: Saturday, June 14, 1986. Denver finished off a Saturday of blowouts with a convincing win over Michigan. Quarterback Bob Gagliano and running back Bill Johnson had a field day against the Panthers, combinig for 5 touchdowns in the game.
Young Michigan quarterback Jim Harbuagh struggled in the game. He threw three interceptions in the game. Running back Albert Bentley didn’t fare much better. He ran for only 24 yards on 14 attempts. If the Gold defense keeps playing like this, they will be difficult to beat.
Denver can host Los Angeles but they need to go to Houston if the Gamblers win.
