Dateline: Sunday, March 17, 1986. Jacksonville brough the heat on and off the field Sundayafternoon against New Orleans. They pulled to 4-2 and second place in the south behind a solid and well executed game plan. While no player stood out on Jacksonville, they won all three facets of the game to defeat the Brass.
New Orleans quarterback Rusty Hilger tried to lift the team to victory in spite of another anemic showing by the run game. They gained only 43 yards. Hilger, in their absence, threw for 340 yards and 3 touchdowns to keep New Orleans in the game.
The Brass travels to LA next. Jacksonville hosts a dangeroud Houston team.
