Oklahoma Outlaws 28, Denver Gold 55

Dateline: Saturday, March 29, 1986. Denver blew out Oklahoma Saturday evening behind a huge offensive performance. The Gold gained 648 total yards of offense. Bob Gagliano threw for 484 of those yards and 4 touchdowns.

The Denver running game was just good enough to complement that aerial attack. They gained 170 combined yards and added 3 touchdowns. By comparison, Oklahoma rushed for only 10 yards in the entire game. Quarterback Rick Johnson tried to make up for the lack of a running game and threw for four touchdowns himself.

Oklahoma hosts a potentially dangerous Vegas and Denver heads to New Jersey next week.
