Tampa Bay Bandits 48, New Orleans Brass 44

Dateline: Sunday, April 20, 1986. Tampa Bay won a wild one over home New Orleans in the dome on Sunday. The Brass run game managed only 18 net yards on the game. Quarterack Rusty Hilger played some hero ball and threw for just under 500 yards and 6 touchdowns.

But, the Tampa run and pass game ground down New Orleans with a more balanced 3 touchdowns each. Hilger suffered some at the Tampa defense, too, enduring 8 sacks on the game. With the win, Tampa moves to 4-5 and within striking distance of the playoffs.

Tampa travels to Boston. New Orleans hosts Denver.
