Dateline: Monday, May 26, 1986. Tampa Bay pulled off a bit of a shocker Monday night defeating Houston. Quarterback John Reaves was efficient in the win, throwing for less than 160 yards, but connecting on two touchdowns. Likewise, the running backs worked as a committe, gaining 148 yards together and scoring three touchdowns.
In spite of dominating the stat sheet, Houston never led in the game after tying it at 7-7 late in the first quarter. Three turnovers doomed the potent Houston offense. They gained over 200 yards both passing and rushing, but the turnovers handed the game to the Bandits.
Tampa hosts Memphis. Houston is off to Chicago.
