USFL Super Fan Sean Lakitz hopes to visit all USFL stadiums at least once. The league added a few to his list with the latest expansion announcement, but he remains undeterred. After finishing out the California teams, it’s back to the drawing board to plan next year’s trip.

The Good and the Bad – April 1986

The Good

  • The team finished April at 7-5 and battling for the lead in the Western division.
  • Frank Seurer continues to be a bright spot at quarterback
  • Eric Dickerson has figured things out and is fighting for the league lead in rushing

The Bad

  • The Express lost their last three by a single score
  • Dickerson’s season is up and down, if we’re being honest.

The Remaining Schedule – May/June 1986

Week 14 – Denver Gold
Week 15 – at Oakland Invaders
Week 16 – Boston Breakers
Week 17 – at Pittsburgh Maulers
Week 18 – Oakland Invaders
Week 19 – Washington Federals
Week 20 – Bye

Our Take

With 4 out of the last six at home and 3 division games, including two against in state rival Oakland, we look poised to continue to fight for the division. While that remains an attainable goal, at the very least, we will make the playoffs. With a week 20 bye, that gives coach Hadl a chance to figure out the playoff lineups that will send us deep into a playoff run!
