The 1984 USFL season is just around the corner. That means that professional football comes to Oklahoma. Long a place where college reigns and some adopted the NFL’s Cowboys as their team, the Outlaws promise to bring the fun and pageantry of the USFL to the Sooner State. The team starts and ends with veteran quarterback Doug Williams.
He promises to be an exciting and entertaining player. Along with his teammates and coach Woody Widenhofe, they hope to come out winning and not look back. Even so, they find themselves in an uphill climb. With 5 other expansion teams vying for players, it might take a few years to be competitive. Even so, support the team, fans, and the payoff will be worth it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
