Chicago Blitz 28, Oklahoma Outlaws 31

Dateline: Sunday, April 20, 1986. Oklahoma held off Chicago to move both teams to 4-6 on the year. After they built up a 31-14 lead on the strength of quarterback Rick Johnson’s three touchdowns, Chicago came storming back with two field goals and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.

After forcing an Oklahoma punt, Chicago turned the ball over on downs and Oklahoma ran out the last 2 minutes to seal the win. Chuck Long, the young Chicago Bliz quarterback, threw two touchdowns in addition to the fumble recovery by the defense.

Both Chicago and Oklahoma host dangerous teams next week; Las Vegas and Pittsburgh.
