Dateline: Sunday, May 25, 1986. Denver took care of their business Sunday evening to defeat Arizona. Both quarterback Bob Gagliano and running back Bill Johnson took the team on their backs to lead them to victory. Todd Gerhart added a late touchdown to seal the win.
Arizona kept up with the Denver Gold offense for much of the game. Young quarterback Turk Schonert performed well, throwing for 2 touchdowns. However, he also added 3 interceptions. From the last coupel of games, it looks like the Wranglers might have a quarterback for the future.
Arizona welcomes Vegas. Denver plays Oakland at home.
